Pro Se Settlement Assistance Program
In October 2013, the Court established a Pro Se Settlement Assistance Program as a pilot program in the Western District of N.C. The program is available for voluntary application to all civil cases in which any party appears pro se. The program does not apply to prisoner civil rights cases; cases filed under 28 U.S.C. Sect. 2254 or 2255; bankruptcy appeals; social security cases; appeals from rulings of administrative agencies; and cases involving forfeitures of seized property.
