Pre-Employment Resources
Welcome New Employees and Interns!
To expedite your first day proceedings, the IT staff has bundled resources to familiarize you with some of our applications and processes. Please review these prior to your first day. The 'Appropriate Use of IT Systems Policy' is listed first. Please read it in its entirety, and then sign and date the corresponding 'Appendix A: WDNC’s Appropriate Use Agreement.' The first ELM we recommend you view is, 'Logging Into a Court Issued Computer' before completing the other training tutorials. Upon your arrival to the court, a member of the IT staff will meet with you to complete your training, answer any IT related questions, and gather any signed paperwork.
Note: These training modules are mobile friendly, therefore, they can be viewed on any smart phone or internet-enabled device by clicking on the link: http://www.ncwd.uscourts.gov/court-info/training-videos.
You will need to sign the corresponding acknowledgement (signature page) after reading the 'Appropriate Use of IT Systems Policy.' Please bring this document with you on your first day and give to HR or a member of the IT staff.
If you have been given permission to work remotely, you must complete the attached telework agreement, have your supervisor sign it, then submit the form to Human Resources. Should you have any questions on what boxes to check, someone in your immediate department should be able to assist you.
Full-time staff should watch the ELM to learn how to login to a court issued Microsoft Surface computer. If you are an intern, learn how to login to a HP Thin Client by clicking here: Login to a HP Thin Client - INTERNS only. (**New as of April 28, 2021.)
